Investment Criteria

Brush Creek Capital was formed to acquire, operate, and grow a business located in the Denver or Kansas City metro areas.

COMPANY ATTRIBUTES

  1. Owner(s) looking for liquidity event. Prefer 100 percent ownership, but will consider majority position if the owner wishes to stay with the business.
  2. Strong, cohesive team in place that will remain with the company.
  3. Great brand reputation with defensible position in fragmented marketplace.
  4. High levels (+50 percent) of recurring revenue and diverse customer base.

FINANCIAL ATTRIBUTES

  1. EBIT between $1 million to $4 million.
  2. At least three consecutive years of profitability (+15 percent EBIT).
  3. Stable, positive cash flow.

Brush Creek Capital is not interested in startups.

INDUSTRY FOCUS

Brush Creek Capital will opportunistically look at companies that fit the company and financial attributes listed above. Based on the principal’s background, particular industries of interest are included below:

  1. Niche manufacturing.
  2. Food & Beverage manufacturing, storage, and distribution.
  3. Energy efficient technologies and energy management.
  4. Building products and services (including trades contracting businesses).

Brush Creek Capital is not interested in brick and mortar retail businesses.
